Yobe State University Student D!es in Tragic Acc!dent, Four Others Injured.
Amina Yakubu, a 100-level student of Yobe State University, has sadly passed away in a motor accident, while four other people were injured.

The incident occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Saturday along Gujba Road, close to the university gate, as the students were returning from Damaturu Metropolis.
Witnesses said the crash involved a tricycle, locally called Keke NAPEP, and a vehicle. One of the university’s matrons was among those injured.

In a statement issued on Monday, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Bukar Jamri, extended the institution’s condolences to Amina’s family, describing her as a promising young woman from Potiskum Local Government Area.
She has since been buried according to Islamic traditions.
The management of the university also confirmed that it is collaborating with the appropriate authorities to ensure that the injured receive adequate medical treatment.
