“While the Country Faces Crisis, National Assembly Prioritizes Bobrisky/VDM Controversy, Says Activist Aisha Yesufu”.

The National Assembly members who formed a group to look into the bribery claims made against crossdresser Bobrisky have come under fire from activist Aisha Yesufu.

The crossdresser allegedly paid the EFCC N15 million to have his money laundering charges dropped, and his godfather called the Comptroller of Prisons to request that Bobrisky be placed in a private flat where he served his six-month jail sentence.

According to an audio conversation that social critic VeryDarkMan released in September.

A panel of investigation investigating the issue was then established by the House of Representatives.

Yesufu questioned why lawmakers were looking into the topic when they had more important matters to handle in a video that she uploaded on Monday,October 21.

Nigeria is falling and dying in front of everyone’s eyes, she said, but the lawmakers  are more focused on resolving the Bobrisky/VDM issue, which she called a “minor” case.

Aisha described the panel as a complete embarrassmen

‘’This whole Bobrisky saga is a nonsense that I do not know even how to describe it, that a country that its citizens are starving, that its people are suffering, that there is so much hardship in the land, unprecedented hardship; that the National Assembly is now focused on a Bobrisky matter. I cannot fathom.

There are agencies that are supposed to do all of that, the EFCC, Police, ICPC, they are already there…go and do your thing and ensure that no wrongdoing was done..but the way and manner in which our National Assembly that should stand on so many issues that affecting our country have decided that they are going to major on the minor.

The National Assembly has turned itself into some useless institution. Amongst the three arms of government, you happen to almost be like the most powerful.

You make laws, you can hold executives accountable., rectify treaties, you do confirmation of appointments, you have oversight functions and yet you sit down and waste your time on things that are not things that should not be wasted on. What is wrong with you for goodness sake?

The country is sinking before our very eyes, the country is dying before our very eyes but what is most important to the national assembly is a Bobrisky and Very Dark Man matter…what a disgrace. An absolute disgrace” she stated.

Furthermore, on Sunday night, October 20, Yesufu confronted Bobrisky by enquiring as to where he was running to when Nigerian immigration officers stopped him at the Seme border.

 ‘’Where is he running to? Whether he is a he or a she. I use pronouns that people want to use. Where is she running to? They have summoned you, walk up to them..you talk. If you were the one on the phone running your mouth, go and explain to them. If you were not the one on the phone running your mouth then go and explain to them and tell them it’s not you. Whatever it is, face the consequences of your actions. Why are you running away?”.
