Viral Video shows Late Afenifere Leader Ayo Adebanjo Predicting His Own Death Announcement.

The late Afenifere leader, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, was heard saying, “Ayo Adenbanjo, leader of Afenifere, the controversial man, is gone.

He died at the age of 90-something. He spoke last to his daughter.” Chief Ayo Adebanjo, the renowned leader of the pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organisation Afenifere, passed away peacefully at his residence in Lekki, Lagos, on Friday, February 14, 2025, at the age of 96.

The video went viral on Tuesday.Adebanjo was a well-known Nigerian lawyer and nationalist who was born in Ijebu Ogbu Oke, Ogun State, on April 10, 1928.

He was a founding member of Afenifere, which was founded in 1993 after the June 12, 1993, presidential election was cancelled.

Throughout his life, he was a staunch supporter of democracy, justice, and true federalism in Nigeria.
