Tinubu to Advocate for Two-State Solution in Israeli-Palestinian Conflict.

Nigeria is demanding an immediate truce in the ongoing Israel-Gaza war and has reiterated its support for a two-state solution to end the protracted Israel-Palestine conflict.

These views are anticipated to be voiced by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, which begins today in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman invited President Tinubu to visit Riyadh, and he did so on Wednesday, November 6.

The president will speak about the rising violence in the Middle East, highlighting Nigeria’s need for an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful settlement of the issue, according to presidential spokesperson Bayo Onanuga.

Nigeria will push for fresh diplomatic initiatives to resurrect the two-state option as a viable means of achieving regional peace.

Important figures like Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, the Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, the National Security Advisor; Alhaji Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation; and Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA), are among the Nigerian delegation that is travelling with the president.
