Three Suspected Armed Robbers found With Sharp Knives Arrested By Kano State Police
Three suspected armed robbers were arrested by the Kano State Police Command. During the arrest, sharp knives were recovered.
On Thursday, January 23, 2025, the spokesperson for the command, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, stated in a statement, that the suspects obstructed a road and attacked innocent individuals, stealing their mobile phones.
“As part of the Command’s efforts to combat all forms of criminalities and maintain law and order in Kano State, a team of Police detectives led by CSP Aliyu Muhammad Auwal arrested the following three (3) suspected armed robbers; (i). Aminu Muhammad, ‘m’, 28 years old of Sabon Titi Quarters, (ii). Abubakar Aminu, ‘m’, 24 years old of Gaida Diga, and (III). Mujahid Muhammad, ‘m’, 23 years old of Na’ibawa Quarters, Kano. Three (3) Sharp Knives and a Mobile Phone were recovered from them,” the statement read.
“The suspects were arrested on 15/01/2025, at about 7:30am, based on information received from a good Samaritan that the suspects while riding on a Motorcycle, blocked Magwan Road, attacking and robbing innocent people of their mobile phones.
“The suspects are currently undergoing investigation at the Command’s Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and will be charged to court upon completion of the investigation.
“The Commissioner of Police, Kano State Command, CP Salman Dogo Garba warns that these criminal activities will not be tolerated and the Command will spare no effort in arresting and prosecuting anyone who tries to disrupt the peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed in the State.
