SZA, an American rapper, stated that comedian Katt Williams labelled her “mentally ill” while they were filming a new movie together.

The singer told the remarkable incident during an interview with Kendrick Lamar for Harper’s Bazaar.

While making such a joke regarding someone’s mental health could normally be offensive, SZA claims the sharp-tongued comic intended it as a “compliment.”

“We shot a film last night. I’d never shot a movie before, so I was terrified. There are many  when I am afraid to be myself.

“I’m either going to pretend it never happened or not show up at the premiere,” she stated. “I met Katt Williams on stage. He told me I was mentally ill, almost as a praise.

“I met Katt Williams [on set].

He told me I was mentally ill, like, as a compliment.

He was like, ‘Sa, I believe you might have some mental—’ And I was like, ‘Illness?’ And he was like, ‘Yes.’

He said, ‘Oh, welcome.’”This particular movie is an upcoming comedy that stars Keke Palmer and SZA.

The pair will recreate their connection from their 2022 Saturday Night Live episode in the as-yet-untitled film, which is scheduled to be released in theatres in January.

The cast consists of Katt Williams, Lil Rel Howery, Janelle James, Keyla Monterroso Mejia, Maude Apatow, Joshua Neal, Aziza Scott, Patrick Cage, and Amin Joseph, with Issa Rae serving as producer.

In her music, interviews, and social media posts, SZA has long been candid about her mental health.

The SOS star spoke about her battles with anxiety and FOMO (the fear of missing out) on X (previously Twitter) last year.“No one teaches you how to enjoy ur life .. they teach you how to work for it . Desire it .

Protect it .fight tooth n nail for it . Pray for it . imagine it .manifest it .. how do u process all the things you’ve prayed for,” she asked her followers.

“I get anxious posting ab my life then get fomo watching other ppl post then experience way more life so there’s so much more to post and get anxious ab the volume of material then fomo again watching awesome posts then back to experiencing more magical life material I can’t post”.

The cleric had accused Abubakar of publishing libellous statements against him on her Instagram page. The cleric specifically said Abubakar accused him of being a womaniser and diabolical, among others.
