Soldiers Allegedly Kill Police Officer for Confronting Colleague Driving Against Traffic in Lagos.

Some soldiers attached to the Ojo Cantonment Barracks have allegedly stabbed a policeman, Saka Ganiyu, to death after he accosted their colleague for driving against the traffic around Volks Bus Stop along the Ojo Iyana Iba Road area of Lagos State. 
According to Punch, the soldier, who was not wearing his uniform, was stopped by policemen on enforcement duty at Volks Bus Stop while driving an unregistered T4 Volkswagen commercial bus against the traffic.

After a disagreement, it was stated, the soldier called a few of his comrades, who then allegedly stormed out of the Ojo Cantonment Barracks and attacked the police officers.

 After the attack, Ganiyu suffered various degrees of injuries and was taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital immediately in need of medical attention

But later, as he was receiving treatment in the hospital, the hurt Inspector was declared dead. The body was placed in the mortuary of the hospital so that it could be preserved and examined. 

Additionally, it was revealed that the errant soldier was apprehended at their base and that the Commander 9 Brigade, Ikeja Cantonment, had been notified
