Sir Jim Ratcliffe Criticizes Manchester United Players as ‘Overpaid’ and ‘Not Good Enough’

Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe has openly criticized certain members of the club’s squad, labelling them as “not good enough” labelling paid.” In a recent interview, Ratcliffe expressed concerns over previous high-profile signings and their impact on the team’s performance.
Ratcliffe specifically mentioned players such as Casemiro, Antony, Jadon Sancho, Rasmus Højlund, and André Onana, highlighting the financial burdens associated with their acquisitions.
He emphasized that these signings were made before his tenure and that restructuring the squad will require time.
Despite the team’s current struggles, with Manchester United sitting 14th in the Premier League, Ratcliffe expressed confidence in manager Ruben Amorim. He acknowledged the challenges Amorim faces, including a depleted squad and financial constraints, but praised his efforts under difficult circumstances.
Looking ahead, Ratcliffe outlined ambitious plans for the club, including constructing a new 100,000-seater stadium and aiming to secure the 21st league title by 2028.
He remains optimistic about Manchester United’s future, believing that the club will overcome its current challenges and return to its former glory.
