Shettima to Atiku: Brace Yourself for More Politucal Jabs in 2027

The Vice President of Nigeria, Kashim Shettima has informed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar that he should be ready for more political jabs in 2027.
The Vice President said while he has has a lot of respect for the Atiku it won’t prevent him from taking a swing at him in the next election.
Shettima made the lighthearted remark on Thursday, February 6, while recognizing dignitaries at a symposium in Abuja celebrating the 60th birthday of former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayemi.
Recalling his role in the 2023 presidential election, Shettima described himself as an “adjunct provocateur” who took “hot shots” at Atiku but acknowledged that the former vice president had handled the criticisms with composure.
He humorously noted that in private conversations, he respectfully refers to Atiku as “Baba.” However, he made it clear that when the 2027 elections approach, Atiku should brace for more political banter.
His comment drew laughter from the audience, with Atiku himself smiling in response.
