Pope Francis Criticizes Trump’s Deportation Policy, Calls It ‘A Disgrace.
In a new attack on US President Donald Trump’s deportations of undocumented migrants, Pope Francis called the practice a “major crisis” that “damages the dignity of men and women” on Tuesday.
He wrote to US bishops, “I exhort all the faithful of the Catholic Church, and all men and women of good will, not to give in to narratives that discriminate against and cause unnecessary suffering to our migrant and refugee brothers and sisters.” And he did just that.
