Peter Obi Urges Nigerians to Get PVCs to Fight Election Rigging
Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, has urged Nigerians to register and collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the 2027 elections, calling the PVC a crucial tool against bad governance and election rigging.
In his statement, “PVC is the Bridge to a New Nigeria,” Obi warned against selling votes, saying corrupt politicians use vote-buying to fuel their own corruption.
He described the PVC as the voice of the marginalized and a weapon for the poor to demand better leadership.
Obi stressed that selling votes harms Nigeria’s future by allowing thieves to steal public funds meant for schools, hospitals, and jobs.
He urged Nigerians to register, safeguard their PVCs, and vote wisely for leaders with integrity and competence.
He concluded by reminding citizens that true power lies with the people, not corrupt politicians who sacrifice the nation’s future for personal gain.
