Normal socioeconomic operations have continued in Ondo State as political parties conclude their public campaigns on Thursday in preparation for the gubernatorial election on Saturday.

The occurrence occurred as the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) currently holds the sensitive papers, which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stated had arrived in Akure, the state capital.

More than 1.7 million potential voters have registered to vote, according to INEC, and 17 parties are putting forth candidates.

The Nigerian Tribune has learned that the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been working nonstop to set up dome logistics in front of the poll, which is just four days away.

The APC candidate and the state governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, recently returned from the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) early on Monday to set up some logistics, according to a party official who spoke to the Nigerian Tribune on condition of anonymity.

“So many things had been left undone, and his visit to Abuja might not be unconnected with the party’s final campaign holding this week,” the insider stated. This morning, the governor came back.
