NYSC Advises Corps Members Against Traveling at Night to Orientation Camp.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has advised prospective corps members posted to various states for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream 1 orientation exercise to avoid traveling to camp at night.
This advice was given by the Bauchi State Public Relations Officer, Jacob Unogwu, during a press interview on Tuesday.
Unogwu emphasized the NYSC’s long-standing warning against night travel, citing safety and security concerns.
He announced that registration for the 1,700 corps members assigned to Bauchi State will take place at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Wailo, Ganjuwa Local Government Area, from July 30 to midnight of July 31.
He further revealed that the swearing-in ceremony is scheduled for August 1, while the orientation program will conclude on August 19.
According to Unogwu, only properly verified graduates will be admitted into the camp, and thorough screening will be carried out to prevent impersonation or unauthorized entry.
He urged corps members to observe all camp rules and warned that anyone who violates the guidelines will face disciplinary actions in line with NYSC regulations.
He also encouraged prospective corps members to be punctual, disciplined, and dress appropriately, noting that any breach of the dress code will be met with sanctions.
