Competing in their debut tournament, Nigeria’s campaign faced a delayed start after their opening match against Samoa was washed out due to rain. Wet conditions in Sarawak once again threatened to disrupt play, but the African team seized the opportunity when a 13-over-per-side match was confirmed.
