NEMA Receives 139 Nigerian Returnees from Niger Republic in Kano
As part of its ongoing efforts to facilitate the safe and dignified return of Nigerian migrants, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has welcomed 139 returnees from Agadez, Niger Republic.
The group arrived at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport in Kano on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, via a Sky Mali flight that landed around 7:57 p.m., according to a statement posted on NEMA’s official X account on Thursday.
NEMA’s Kano Operations Office reported that the returnees included 22 adult males, 52 adult females, 33 male children, and 32 female children.
Upon arrival, they were registered and then taken to Badala Hotel for temporary accommodation.
Profiling activities were carried out the next day, on July 30, 2025. The agency noted that the reception process was smooth and well organized.
