NBC Expands Beyond Beverages, Introduces Iconic Plazma Biscuit to Nigeria

The Nigerian Bottling Company Ltd. (NBC), a key player in the consumer goods sector and a member of the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling Company, has officially launched Plazma Biscuit into the Nigerian market. This marks NBC’s strategic entry into Nigeria’s growing snack food industry, expanding beyond its traditional beverage portfolio.
The introduction of the popular European biscuit brand was made possible through a partnership involving Bambi, a renowned confectionery company in Europe; Coca-Cola HBC; NBC; and a local biscuit manufacturing partner. The collaboration brings global quality together with local production capacity.
During the launch event, NBC’s Managing Director, Goran Sladić, symbolically sold the first carton of Plazma biscuits, marking the brand’s official debut in Nigeria. Sladić described Plazma as more than just a biscuit, calling it a product that represents “trust, quality, and connection across generations.” He added that the launch reflects NBC’s long-standing commitment to Nigeria, where it has operated for over 70 years.
The move signifies NBC’s confidence in the country’s economic potential and its intention to play a greater role in meeting the evolving preferences of Nigerian consumers.
