Nasarawa Governor Appoints 16 New Commissioners

The names of 16 commissioner nominees have been sent to the state House of Assembly for verification and screening by Abdullahi Sule, the governor of Nasarawa State.
Remember that on January 3, Sule dismissed members of his cabinet to replace them with technocrats who had demonstrated their ability to provide the state’s citizens with the benefits of democracy.
During Monday’s House sessions in Lafia, the state capital, Danladi Jatau, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, revealed the names of the nominees.
“I want to urge the appointees to submit 30 copies of their Curriculum Vitae to the House by Thursday at the latest, and to appear for screening on Monday of next week,” Jatau stated.
“The governor has submitted 16 names of commissioner nominees to the Assembly for screening and confirmation.
“Princess Margret Itaki Elayo from Keana LGA, Dr. John Mamman from Kokona LGA, Barr. Isaac Danladi Amadu from Karu LGA, Hajiya Munirat Abdullahi and Gabriel Agbashi from Doma LGA, Yakubu Kwanta from Akwanga LGA, and Hon. Tanko Tunga from Awe LGA.
Hon. Mohammed Sani Ottos from Nasarawa LGA, Hon. Mohammed Agah Muluku from Nassarawa Eggon LGA, Barr., and Hon. Aminu Mu’azu Maifata and CP Usman Baba (retd.) from Lafia LGA are the other commissioner nominees.
Barr, Dr. Gaza Gwamna from Toto LGA, and David Moyi from Obi LGA. Jugbo Hauwa Samuel and Wamba LGA’s Hon. Mu’azu Gosho.According to our source, three women were selected from among the 16 commissioner nominees.
Mohammed Muluku and Umar Tunga, two former members of the state House of Assembly, were also proposed to serve on the state executive board.
