NANS Factional President Atiku Isah Retracts Bribery, Abduction Allegations Against Seyi Tinubu, Issues Public Apology.

The factional president of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), Atiku Isah, has formally retracted a series of serious allegations he previously made against Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Tinubu, and the Minister of Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande.

In a statement titled “Setting the Records Straight/Public Apology to Seyi Tinubu,” published on his official Facebook page, Isah admitted that the claims—including a purported N100 million bribe offer, abduction, assault, and forced resignation were based on false information supplied by his political rival, Olusola Ladoja.

“I now realize that the alleged N100 million bribe offer to support President Tinubu never occurred,” Isah wrote. “It was a lie orchestrated by Ladoja Olusola, who was desperate to unseat me as NANS president and take over leadership through deceit.”

Isah had earlier accused Seyi Tinubu and the Minister of Youth of attempting to bribe him in Lagos, and claimed he was abducted, stripped naked, and assaulted on April 15, allegedly for refusing the offer. He also accused Seyi of mobilizing thugs to disrupt his inauguration and plotting to have him killed.

However, in his new statement, Isah said all those accusations were influenced by Ladoja, who allegedly warned him that Seyi Tinubu had the power to silence or even kill him and cover it up.

“Ladoja swore to me that Seyi Tinubu was behind all attempts to frustrate my leadership, even telling me that he would not allow me to serve out my term,” Isah stated. “I later found out that Seyi was not even present at the event I mentioned.”

Isah offered a public apology to Seyi Tinubu and other parties affected by the earlier claims, admitting that his actions were misinformed and regrettable.
