Man Arrested in Lagos for Allegedly Beating Girlfriend to De@th.

A 23-year-old man has been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly k*ll*ng his girlfriend by assaulting her.

CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, told reporters in Lagos on Monday that the incident had occurred. According to him, the suspect committed the cr!me in the state’s Ijedodo, Isheri-Osun region on Friday night at around 8:00 p.m.

According to Hundeyin, the event was reported to the Isheri-Osun Police Divisional Station by a neighbour.

The suspect cried for assistance a few minutes later. The girlfriend was laying unconscious on the bed when the neighbour arrived at his flat, and there were obvious signs of assault on her body.

She was taken right away to a hospital in Ijegun, where the attending physician pronounced her de@d, according to Hundeyin.

Detectives were sent right away to the cr!me scene and the hospital, where the body was examined and photographed, according to the police spokesperson.

He added that the suspect was still being held for interrogation, but the body had been taken to a mortuary in Yaba for an autopsy. There are still investigations going on.
