Kano Governor Accepts Resignation of Commissioner for Internal Security.

Kano State Governor, Abba Yusuf, has accepted the resignation of Major General Muhammad Idris (retd.), who was the Commissioner for the newly established Ministry of Internal Security and Special Services.
A statement from the governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Tofa, on Tuesday expressed the governor’s sincere appreciation for the retired general’s contributions during his brief tenure, particularly in helping the ministry get off the ground.
While no specific reason was provided for the resignation, the governor wished the former commissioner well, praising him as a dedicated public servant and a patriotic Nigerian.
Governor Yusuf thanked Major General Muhammad Inuwa Idris (Rtd) for his dedication and significant impact on the development of Kano State, both during his military career and in his role as commissioner.
He also wished the general a peaceful and fulfilling retirement. The statement highlighted that while the general’s time in office was short, he laid a strong foundation for the ministry’s future, which the governor believes his successor can build upon.
