Israel has been charged with preventing aid from entering Gaza in recent weeks
In recent weeks, Israel has been under fire for allegedly preventing assistance supplies from reaching Gaza.
As we previously reported, Israel’s friends are extremely concerned by the recent Knesset vote that banned Unrwa. According to UK Minister Sir Keir Starmer, the action might “jeopardize the entire international humanitarian response in Gaza.”
The United States threatened to suspend military aid to Israel unless it immediately increased aid into the enclave earlier in October. More aid was later permitted to enter Gaza by Israel, although a senior UN humanitarian official called it a “trickle.”
Leading UN officials have also charged Israel with obstructing relief, such as Philippe Lazzarini, the head of Unrwa, who stated on X a week ago that “Israeli Authorities continue to deny humanitarian missions to reach the north (of Gaza)”.
Israel has frequently accused relief organizations of improperly distributing aid in the enclave and denies blocking the delivery of humanitarian goods.
According to Cogat, the Israeli military organization in charge of overseeing the gates into Gaza, 100 outside humanitarian supply vehicles arrived in Palestinian territory yesterday, according to X.
