“If The EFCC Calls On Me, I Will Hand Myself Over” ~ Godwin Obaseki
The former Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki, has said he has nothing to hide and is willing to submit himself if the Economic and Finance Crime Commission calls on him for questioning.
He stated this while speaking to the EdoBEST National Result-Sharing Session in Abuja on Wednesday, November 6.
“I’m not afraid of the EFCC. Why should I be? What is important is focus. I came into the office and ignored the noise, concentrating on what I felt was important, and today, you can see the results. If the EFCC calls on me, I will hand myself over; I have nothing to hide,” he said.
The soon-to-be former Governor came into office under the umbrella of the People’s Democratic Party and will be handing over power to his successor, Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress, on November 12.
