Four Pupils K!lled in Ogun Road Cr@sh, Residents Protest on Expressway.

Residents of Sowo village in Ogun State blocked the Abeokuta–Sagamu Expressway to protest the tragic de@th of four pupils from Iddo Primary School, Kobape, following a fat@l road acc!dent.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 23, 2025, around 3 p.m., when a vehicle struck the children as they were heading home from school.

Eyewitnesses reported that some angry youths tried to att@ck the driver, but security personnel intervened and rescued him.

According to Babatunde Akinbiyi, spokesperson for the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency (TRACE), a speeding Toyota Corolla with the registration number KSF 579 DM lost control and hit the pupils on the walkway, k!ll!ng four boys instantly.

The victims were transported to the General Hospital in Ijaiye for official confirmation of their deaths before being released to their families for burial.

Akinbiyi added that the community’s protest disrupted traffic on the expressway but was eventually managed with the cooperation of TRACE, the police, and the Nigerian Army, restoring order in the area.
