Fear in Lagos as Headless Body Found on Street

Residents of the Oshodi area in Lagos were thrown into panic on Monday morning after a beheaded body was discovered by the roadside.

The gruesome sight attracted a large crowd, with many expressing shock and fear over the incident.

According to eyewitnesses, the lifeless body, believed to be that of a young man, was found around 6:30 a.m. near a deserted corner of the community.

Confirming the incident, Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, said: “We are deeply disturbed by this gruesome discovery and have launched a full investigation. Efforts are ongoing to identify the victim and apprehend those responsible.”

Security operatives have since cordoned off the area while the body was evacuated for further examination.

Residents have called for increased security patrols in the area to prevent a recurrence.

The motive behind the killing remains unknown as investigations continue.
