Anambra shutdown church over alleged ritual Practices .

A popular church called “Children of the Light Anointing Ministry,” which is led by Pastor Onyebuchi Okocha, also known as “Onye Eze Jesus,” has been sealed by the Anambra State government due to allegations of involvement in a contentious “Oke-ite” traditional practice.
The church is located in Amafor village, Nkpor in the state’s Idemili North Local Government Area.
On Sunday, agents from the state security agency “Agunechemba” visited the site and discovered various items, including container.
Following the crackdown and arrests of well-known native doctors and those involved in “Oke-ite” practices, the state authorities also sealed some of their shrines for participating in such activities.
It was gathered that “Oke-ite” is a mixture made from human parts, animals, and herbs mixed in a mud pot and used for money rituals.
The state authorities have identified it as a fraudulent scheme used by native doctors to deceive unsuspecting victims.
This development, it was believed, marked the third high-profile crackdown on “quick riches” spiritualists in Anambra.
As he led members of “Operation Udo Ga-Achi” to the location, Ken Emeakayi, the Special Advisor on Community Security to Chukwuma Soludo, the governor of Anambra State, also declared the church’s closure.
According to Emeakayi, the move was made in response to complaints from the public and a video purportedly showing the pastor confessing to engaging in “Oke Ite” and other questionable customs.
“The liquid substances found at the ministry will undergo forensic testing by the state government,” he stated.
The state government will not accept religious practices that encourage a “get-rich-quick” mentality, even while it does not reject any.
Furthermore, samples from the River Bethsaida, where the spiritualist, also known as “Aka na Asa Uchu,” is rumoured to perform baths for people, will be examined by forensic specialists.
“The investigation’s goal is to identify any possible health risks related to the practice. The government of Anambra State is still dedicated to putting an end to the state’s bogus religious and ceremonial activities.
According to reports, the spiritualist became well-known for leading his followers to a river in Nkpor.
