A gang leader was apprehended by FCT police for k!ll!ng a rival over a woman.

For the m^rder of Ibrahim Danfulani over a contentious marriage proposal, the FCT Police Command has detained infamous gang leader Abubakar Idris, popularly known as Nishi, and his associates.

The incident on November 27, 2024, was caused by Nishi’s annoyance over Ibrahim’s intentions to wed a woman in whom Nishi had made large financial investments, the command’s spokesman, SP Josephine Adeh, said in a statement on Monday.

According to investigations, Ibrahim Danfulani was brutally attacked and k*lled by Nishi and two accomplices who were carrying knives.

Adeh went on to say that the group reportedly took 18 cows from the victim in order to make up for Nishi’s supposed financial losses.

In a stunning turn of events, Nishi—who had escaped the cr!me scene—was tracked down and taken into custody in Nasarawa State, Adeh claimed.

He was apprehended as he prepared to enlist fresh gang members to carry out his evil scheme to k!ll the woman again. All suspects were successfully apprehended thanks to the prompt and well-coordinated actions of the FCT Police Command and the Agaita community in Karu.

They are currently being held by the police and will be prosecuted to guarantee that justice is done.
