“He Does Not Know What He is Talking About. He Constantly Puts His Foot in His Mouth” ~ Journalists Reuben Abati

Journalist, Reuben Abati has slammed the Minister of State for Pertroleum, Heineken Lokpobiri, for Nigeria will be expecting a $50bn investment in the oil sector by December.

On Tuesday, October 8, in Abuja, Nigeria’s Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Heineken Lokpobiri, announced that the country is poised for substantial growth in the energy sector. Addressing concerns raised by both foreign and local investors, Lokpobiri highlighted the government’s efforts to boost oil production to approximately 2.7 million barrels per day. He emphasized that these initiatives, combined with policy reforms and investment-friendly conditions, position Nigeria as a key player in Africa’s energy market. By the end of the year, the country anticipates receiving $50 billion in investments, reflecting renewed confidence in its oil and gas industry.

He added that the policy direction of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has in the last year, revolutionised the oil sector, making it very attractive to both local and foreign investors.

Reacting to Lokpobiri,  Abati expressed his unbelieve on what the minister said and responded to with:

“He does not know what he is talking about. He constantly puts his foot in his mouth. Let him just stay in his allegiance to Nyesom Wike where he can speak with great certainty. The other time he was saying the refineries will produce so, so, so….no refinery is producing anything ..now he is saying $50 billion worth of investment by December…because Tinubunis a miracle worker. December is just two months away. If the Minister has nothing to say, he should keep quiet’’
