Senator Ahmed Wadada Resigns from SDP Amid Internal Party Crisis, Hints at Possible Return to APC.
Senator Ahmed Wadada, who represents Nasarawa West, has officially resigned from the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In a letter addressed to the SDP Chairman in Tudun Ward, Keffi Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, Wadada announced his immediate resignation.
The letter, titled “Notification of resignation from the Social Democratic Party (SDP),” explained that the decision was driven by ongoing internal conflicts and legal disputes within the party, which have caused significant divisions.
Wadada expressed gratitude for the opportunities and relationships he gained during his time with the SDP but stated that he feels it is time to move on and explore new possibilities.
This announcement follows his recent public support for President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
After a visit to the State House, the senator dismissed the notion that the African Democratic Congress could produce a leader who would surpass Tinubu’s accomplishments.
Wadada also suggested he might rejoin the All Progressives Congress (APC), recalling his past roles as a national officer in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before moving to the APC and later the SDP.
He emphasized that his resignation is not due to any personal grievances with the SDP but rather reflects the natural changes in life.
