Oyo Police Promote 159 Inspectors to Assistant Superintendent Rank.
The Oyo State Police Command has elevated 159 Inspectors to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), recognizing their dedication and outstanding performance in the line of duty.
This announcement was made on Tuesday in Ibadan by the state’s Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Adewale Osifeso.
Osifeso emphasized that the promotions reflect the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun’s, commitment to acknowledging excellence and commitment among police personnel.
He noted that during the decoration ceremony, the Commissioner of Police in Oyo State, Femi Haruna, commended the newly promoted officers for their bravery, professionalism, and steadfast service.
Haruna highlighted the importance of a structured reward system within the police, noting that such initiatives inspire officers to continually strive for excellence in serving the public. “This promotion is not just a recognition of your hard work but a call to maintain and uphold these values throughout your careers,” the CP stated.
He encouraged the officers to uphold high standards of integrity and professionalism in their new roles.
Osifeso also noted that the promoted officers expressed gratitude to the Commissioner and reaffirmed their commitment to duty and the values of the Nigeria Police Force.
The command reiterated its dedication to fostering professionalism, rewarding outstanding service, and celebrating the achievements of its officers as a way to build public trust and ensure community safety.
Among those promoted were ASP Eriarehmhien Ayishat, ASP Coker Bunmi, and ASP Tina Osuoza, who were recognized for their exemplary service and dedication.
