Peter Obi Supports Bauchi Nursing and Quranic Schools with N15 Million.

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate in the 2023 election, has donated a total of N15 million to two educational institutions in Bauchi State: Malikiya College of Nursing Sciences and Intisharu Taufizul Quranic School.

During a visit to the state on Friday, Obi contributed N10 million to the nursing college and N5 million to the Quranic school, according to the News Agency of Nigeria.

While addressing staff and students at Malikiya College of Nursing Sciences, Obi emphasized the crucial role nurses play in the healthcare system. He stated, “Nurses are essential to our society and the country as a whole. If there’s any way we can support their work, we must do it.

The health sector is a key indicator of national success, and nurses form a critical part of that infrastructure. They are the ones closest to patients and are central to patient care.”

Obi also noted that he has been supporting approximately 70 nursing schools each year as part of his contribution to strengthening the healthcare sector.

In response, the proprietors of the two institutions, Aminu Danmaliki and Alhaji Usman Abubakar, expressed their gratitude for Obi’s generosity and assured that the funds would be used effectively to improve the schools.
