WAEC Temporarily Suspends Access to 2025 WASSCE Results Due to Technical Issues.

The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has temporarily disabled access to the 2025 WASSCE results for school candidates due to technical challenges discovered during an internal review.

In a statement released on Thursday by Acting Head of Public Affairs, Moyosola Adesina, the Council explained that the issue arose following the introduction of a new paper serialisation system aimed at curbing exam malpractice.

This new system was implemented in key subjects such as Mathematics, English Language, Biology, and Economics.

However, after the results were released, WAEC’s internal checks revealed technical glitches affecting these subjects.

To address the problem, WAEC has suspended access to the results through its online portal while corrections are made. “As a responsible and professional body, the Council is working swiftly to fix the issues,” the statement said.

WAEC has apologised to all candidates affected by the disruption and has asked them to check back for their results after 24 hours.

“We sincerely apologise and thank candidates for their patience and understanding as we work to resolve the situation promptly and transparently,” Adesina added.
