FBI and EOCO Seize Shatta Wale’s Lamborghini Over $4.7M US Fraud Case.

Ghana’s Economic and Organised Crime Office (EOCO), in partnership with the FBI and US Justice Department, has seized a 2019 Lamborghini Urus from Ghanaian musician Shatta Wale.

The luxury vehicle is linked to proceeds from a $4.74 million fraud case involving Nana Kwabena Amuah, who is currently serving an 86-month sentence in the US.

The seizure followed a 2023 request from US authorities and took place at Shatta Wale’s residence in Trassaco Valley, Accra.

EOCO stated that Wale voluntarily surrendered the car to avoid a public scene, noting it was a key part of his image.

The FBI believes the Lamborghini was purchased with criminal funds and plans to repatriate it to the US as part of Amuah’s restitution.

EOCO confirmed Shatta Wale and a former National Signal Bureau officer are persons of interest and will assist in ongoing investigations.

The agency may also share its final findings with US authorities.
