At the age of 29, Enzo Zidane, the son of football legend Zinedine Zidane, has formally retired from professional sport.

Enzo, who last competed for Fuenlabrada in Spain’s third division, reportedly made the decision to retire from the game on Tuesday in order to concentrate on his family and interests.

According to sports journalist Fabrizio Romano, “Enzo, Zinedine Zidane’s son, has retired from football at the age of 29, reports @diarioas,” confirming the fact.

“He wishes to concentrate on personal matters, such as his investments, and he last played football for Fuenlabrada in the third division of Spanish football. At the age of 29, Enzo Zidane announced his retirement from professional football to concentrate on his family and other businesses.

The oldest of Zidane’s four kids, Enzo, made 203 appearances over his ten-year career, tallying 13 goals and dishing out 24 assists.

Before finishing with Fuenlabrada, where he made 29 appearances, his career includes stints with Real Madrid Castilla, Alavés, Lausanne, Rayo Majadahonda, Aves, Almeria, and Rodez Aveyron.

His most noteworthy performance occurred in his lone senior Real Madrid match, where he scored his first goal in a 6-1 Copa del Rey triumph over Cultural Leonesa.
While his brothers are still playing football, Enzo has decided to give up the game.

Theo Zidane, who plays midfield for Córdoba in the third division, Luca Zidane, who is presently the starting goalkeeper for Eibar, and Elyaz Zidane, who is the youngest, joined the Real Betis academy lately and plays for France at the U-17 level.
