K!dnappers Threaten to K!ll Six Nigerian Law School Students Over Increased Ransom Demand.

Six Nigerian Law School students who were abducted have been threatened with execution if their k!dnappers’ ransom demands are not met.

The students were kidnapped on Saturday, July 26, while traveling from Onitsha, Anambra State, to the Nigerian Law School campus in Yola, Adamawa State. The abduction occurred along the road connecting Benue and Nasarawa states.

A fellow law student, Damilare Adenola, identified the k!dnapped students as Rev. Ernest Okafor, Ogbuka Fabian, Nwamma Philip, Okechukwu Obadiegwu, Obalem Emmanuel, and Obiorah David.

The k!dnappers initially contacted the families and peers of the vict!ms, demanding N20 million per student for their release. However, according to a source who overheard a call between one of the students and the k!dnappers, the ransom demand has since increased to N50 million. The abductors have threatened to k!ll the students if the ransom is not paid.

“They warned us not to involve security agencies and said they can monitor everything happening. They insisted that to keep the students al!ve, we must remain silent and comply with their demands,” the source explained.
