“Because i have money doesn’t mean I shouldn’t demand what I earned” – Ex-Super Eagles striker Brown Ideye slams Enyimba over unpaid bonuses.
Former Super Eagles forward Brown Ideye has publicly criticized Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club Enyimba FC for failing to pay match bonuses owed to him and his teammates from the previous season.
Taking to his official X (formerly Twitter) account, Ideye expressed frustration that despite the 2024/2025 season ending in May, the club has yet to settle outstanding payments, even with the new season set to begin soon.
“Just because I have money doesn’t mean I shouldn’t ask for what I worked for. Please pay me and the other players the match bonuses from last season. @EnyimbaFC, the season ended in May and we’ve received nothing. The new season starts next month,” he posted.
His comments follow an earlier claim that the club only provided players with N7,000 per day for meals during the last campaign.
