Fans Expect Falcons to Win 10th WAFCON Title.
Ahead of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) set for July 2025 in Morocco, fans in Aba have voiced strong confidence in the Super Falcons’ ability to win their record 10th title.
“We have young players who are hungry for glory,” said Nneka Innocent. “My only advice is for the players to put the friendly match results aside and pay attention to the WAFCON matches.”
Ndudim Isaac added, “For the Super Falcons to beat one of the best teams in Africa, Ghana, by 3–1, they will top their group and defeat other teams to get to the final.”
Another fan, Ugochukwu Obasi, emphasized focus: “The Super Falcons are the favourite to win. They must treat all the teams equally—from the first match to the final.”
Nigeria will face Tunisia, Botswana, and Algeria in Group B as they seek to extend their WAFCON dominance with a historic 10th championship win.
