IGP Mobilizes Special Team for Swift Rescue of Kidnapped Afenifere Youth Leader.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, has deployed the Intelligence Response Team (IRT) to urgently secure the release of Prince Eniola Ojajuni, the Afenifere Youth Leader, who was abducted on February 17, 2025.Ojajuni was seized while traveling to Abuja, and the police force has launched a coordinated operation to bring him to safety.
The abduction has sparked widespread concern, and the police have mobilized special forces from the Ondo and Kogi Police Commands, in addition to deploying tactical and intelligence experts from the Force Headquarters. This strategic move aims to track down the criminals and bring them to justice while ensuring the safe return of the victim.
The situation took a distressing turn on February 24, 2025, when a video was released showing Prince Ojajuni in captivity, pleading for his life. The kidnappers demanded a ransom of ₦100 million in exchange for his release. This video has raised tensions, with fears growing over Ojajuni’s safety.
