JAMB Confirms Registration Deadline as 1.5 Million Candidates Sign Up for UTME.

The 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination registration period will end on March 8, 2025, according to a Tuesday announcement from the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board.

The registration period started on February 3. “This deadline has been communicated in all advertisements and the official calendar for the 2025 UTME exercise,” JAMB stated, ruling out a registration period extension.

It revealed that more than 1.5 million candidates had successfully registered at the time of this statement. The exam authority stressed in a statement released on Tuesday by its spokeswoman, Fabian Benjamin, that “we wish to inform all prospective candidates that there will be no extension of the registration period.”

“Given the recent reduction in the number of candidates registering for the examination, this notice is especially important,” it stated.

We encourage everyone who wants to take part to sign up as soon as possible and not wait until the last minute. More than 1.5 million candidates have enrolled so far, which is in good agreement with the board’s expectations for the 2025 exam cycle.

It is important to remember that the board has a set schedule, with many programs, such as exams, results management, and admissions exercises, planned after registration.

These schedules are coordinated with other organisations whose operations depend on our procedures being finished.

As a result, prolonging the registration time would interfere with our partners’ and the board’s intentions.
