Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Star Sued for Racial Discrimination and Maltreatment by Former Employee

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Teddi Mellencamp, has been slammed with a lawsuit from her former housekeeper, Julia Umana, for racial discrimination, maltreatment, underpaying her, and making her work in a hostile work environment.
The documents obtained by TMZ said Umana—a former live-in nanny and housekeeper of the reality star, was treated unfairly compared to other white employees.
Umana claims Mellencamp accused her of theft despite having security cameras in the house and never made similar accusations towards the white employees.
Umana, an immigrant from El Salvador, also alleges that Mellencamp mocked her for speaking Spanish and spoke to her in a derogatory tone, behavior she says was not directed at white employees.
The lawsuit further states that Umana planned to resign but was pressured into working three 12-hour shifts for just $325. After raising concerns about the pay, she claims she was abruptly fired.
Now, Umana is seeking over $2 million in damages for wrongful termination and unpaid wages. Mellencamp has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.
