Taye Taiwo Former Super Eagle Inducted into Olympique Marseille’s Hall of Fame.

Former Super Eagles defender, Taye Taiwo, has been honored with induction into Olympique Marseille’s prestigious Club of Legends.

The recognition celebrates his contributions to the French club during his six-year spell from 2005 to 2011.

Taiwo, known for his powerful left foot and attacking prowess, made 271 appearances for Marseille, scoring 25 goals and providing 23 assists. He played a key role in the club’s successes, helping them win the Ligue 1 title, the French League Cup, and the French Super Cup.

His performances cemented his status as a fan favorite at the Stade Vélodrome.

Following his successful time at Marseille, Taiwo went on to play for AC Milan, Queens Park Rangers, and other clubs before retiring in 2019.

His induction into the Hall of Fame is a testament to his impact and legacy at one of France’s most storied football clubs.
