Ghanaian Football Fan Stabbed to Death in Match Violence.

Asante Kotoko fan Francis Yaw Frimpong, also known as Pooley, died after being stabbed to death during a match against Nsoatreman.
The incident occurred during a heated argument with an unidentified man during the game, according to a statement from Nsoatreman.
The match was marred by fan violence, with people throwing objects onto the pitch.Three individuals have been taken into custody by the police thus far: Kyeremeh Joseph, Agyemang Duah Owusu, and Ignatius Baffour Awuah, the former minister of employment and labour relations.
An MP 23 pistol with 15 rounds of ammo and two garments with possible bloodstains were found by police during a search of suspect Agyemang Duah Owusu’s home.
A person who has not yet been identified stabbed Frimpong shortly after he dodged a rocket that was allegedly fired by another Nsoatreman F.C. supporter.
Ten players have been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) for their individual roles in the altercation that broke out on the pitch.
Nsoatreman is home to six of them: Walid Neymar Fuseini, Mohammed Issaka, Eric Osei Bonsu, Abdul Rahaman Mohammed, and Stephen Diyou, who was sent out during the match for fighting Frank Dongballe.Section 12(1)(j) of the GFA Disciplinary Code, 2019, which deals with misconduct and unsporting behaviour, has also been violated by Mohammed Camara, Gilbani O’Neil Ndongani Samba, Andres Ntim Manu, and Justice Blay of Kotoko.
Nsoatreman and Asante Kotoko have both denounced the altercations. The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has banned Nsoatreman from using Nana Koramansah Park, their home field, in the wake of the incident until further notice while an investigation is carried out.
The next league matchup has also been postponed by the GFA.
The association said in a statement on Monday, “The GFA has been working to improve the overall football experience in Ghana and is keen to ensure that this incident is dealt with swiftly and decisively to send the signal that such acts have no place in Ghana’s football”.
