Cops detain alleged thieves for k!lling a Delta e-hailing driver.
Two suspected robbers have been taken into custody by the Delta State Police Command in connection with the alleged murder of Dantes, an Uber driver in the state’s Effurun region.
Israel Joe, a human rights activist based in Delta, claims that the suspects had first hired a commercial s3x worker before hiring an Uber driver to transport them to their destination.
After allowing the prost!tute to depart unharmed, the suspects allegedly used a twine rope to strangle Dante as he was transporting them to their destination, pushed his body out of his car, and drove off.
The activist also revealed that another driver was attacked by the suspects, who took his car after he managed to escape unharmed.
“These are Dantes the Bolt Driver’s kíIIers. On December 16, these two men arrived in Warri, went to Shop Rite Effurun, and demanded a TDB (Till Day Break) with one of the prostitutes”he wrote:
They agreed to pay the prostìțute 40k so the two of them could take turns on her at about 11pm that faithful night. These two animąIs booked a bolt and they entered along with the prost!țute.
They branched off, bought drinks and fish which they all drank and ate, including Dantes, the bolt driver, who wasn’t aware that would be his last night on earth.
As they approached Aziza junction after the Mercy Land church, the fair one brought out a thick twined rope and strangled the driver from behind while the helpless prost!tute was bailed up with a knife, by the other dark guy not to make a single noise.
After strangling the driver, they pushed down his corpse and drove deep into the express where they had pity on the harlot and dropped her. She didn’t say, if they still slept with her or not. She had to trek back to town that same mid night.
They took the car to Agbor and put it on sale. They went to Benin and attempted to strangle another Hausa driver but he quickly shifted the car chair back, bend it backward, opened the door and ran. But they also brought the car to Warri and put it on sale.
CSP Aliyu Shaba DPO Ekpan of the Delta State Command has been trailing these guys through tracking the phones they stolen until luck ran out of them. They would now be left with the option of facing the law.
