Guardiola and Wife Parts Ways After 30 Years Together

Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, and his wife, Cristina Serra, have chosen to separate after 30 years of marriage.

According to El Periodico, the separation between the couple is amicable and has been described as cordial, stable, and friendly.

They met in 1994 and married in 2014 near Barcelona but have reportedly grown apart, particularly due to Guardiola’s various managerial roles in different countries over the past five years.

The couple has three children: Maria, 24, Marius, 22, and Valentina, 17. Serra, a Brazilian journalist, has been living in Barcelona with their youngest daughter, Valentina, while Guardiola remains in Manchester. The family spent Christmas together with their children.

The decision to divorce was made in December, with only close friends and family initially aware of the situation. Those close to the couple have been asked to keep the details private.

Serra left Manchester in 2019 to pursue a career in fashion with her family’s company, Serra Claret.

Despite speculation regarding his future, Guardiola signed a new two-year deal with Manchester City in November, extending his contract through 2027.

This week, Guardiola hopes to focus on on-pitch matters as City prepares to play against Brentford. Currently, they are sixth in the Premier League table.
